From the time I was a child, I enjoyed sewing by hand! I would sit on the porch swing embroidering small pieces to give to family and friends.
About 15 years ago, I found rug hooking and fell in love with the texture and feel of wool and other organic materials. Hooking led to applique, and then I was off and running.
The slow process of cutting and stitching is a meditative and peaceful process.
